Hartmann Oncology Institute

Hartmann is recognized as the first private French research and cancer treatment facility. Today the Hartmann Oncology Institute, located near Paris, France, operates 100 beds and treats a wide range of cancers with radio and chemotherapies.

In line with the Institute’s dedication to quality care, as well as patient comfort and satisfaction, Hartmann has installed evidence-based design (EBD) Luminous SkyCeilings, the only virtual skylights with documented positive outcomes. The facility also included an eScape Digital Cinema Virtual Window, which incorporates image, motion, and sound into a beautifully framed window view for patient relaxation.

The response from both patients and staff to these therapeutic elements of biophilic design has been dramatic and highly appreciated leading to higher word-of-mouth referrals.
